Starting November 30, the City of North Battleford will implement the policy of proof of vaccination or a negative rest for multiple facilities, such as the CO-OP Aquatic Centre and the Access Communications Centre. This is already in place at locations like the NationsWEST Field House and for events like North Stars games at the Access Centre.
Some believe this is a necessary step for public safety, others believe it’s a step too far because it primarily impacts families with children that are unvaccinated. What are your thoughts?

The Battlefords Chamber of Commerce hosted an All-Candidates Forum for the Battlefords – Lloydminster riding Wednesday evening. Four of the six candidates were in attendance for the event, which was streamed online in addition to in-person attendance.

Saskatchewan lifted restrictions on mask wearing and gathering capacity on July 11, which has resulted in a slow return of large events. Several industries such as gyms and restaurants, have seen a bump in business since then.

The 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo Japan have finally wrapped up, with Canada winning a total of 24 medals, seven of them gold. Despite the lack of fans and eerie atmosphere of pandemic protocols, millions of Canadians tuned in by competition’s end.
What was your favourite moment of the games? Was it Damian Warner winning the decathlon? Penny Oleksiak becoming the most decorated Summer Olympian in Canadian history? Or the National Women’s Soccer team triumphing in penalties over Sweden?

Despite several compelling storylines for the Olympic Games, and for the Canadian Olympic team specifically, viewership is significantly less for these games compared to previous events. Some pundits are pointing to attitudes towards the handling of the games (those who see it unwise to hold the event and those who see barring fan attendance as unnecessary) while others are looking at changes in traditional television viewing in comparison to streaming.
