Saskatchewan has entered Step 1 of the Reopening Roadmap for the summer, which slightly eases some restrictions regarding gatherings sizes. Step 3, which requires 70 per cent vaccination of residents 18 and older and three weeks after June 20, is almost approved as well. On Tuesday, the Government of Saskatchewan laid out it’s three-phase Roadmap to Recovery, highlighting the goals for vaccination rates that will allow for an easing of restrictions. Step One of the plan is expected to come into play in the last week of May.

As the Battlefords weathers a winter storm to start the week, which resulted in a 50 + vehicle accident in Alberta, meteorologists are advising motorists to stay off the roads if possible.
