Hazardous waste day encourages proper disposal of garbage in N.B.

If certain materials are not disposed of properly they can cause serious damage to the environment.

That is why North Battleford will hold this season's Household Hazardous Waste Day on Saturday Sept. 24 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the public works shop across from Home Hardware.

Buglas seeking fifth term on N.B. council

The longest serving current member of council hopes to continue for another term.

Don Buglas has served on council since 2003, tying him with Ray Fox for longest serving current members. Buglas is seeking his fifth term after officially submitting his papers for October’s election.

The plan is simple, to listen to what the community wants instead of telling them what they need.

Darren Olson, who grew up in North Battleford and has returned after 18 years in Saskatoon with his family, has entered his name for city council.
