Kent Lindgren said he's had this weekend circled on his calendar for months and now it’s finally here as the North Battleford Street Performer Festival kicks off today.

The 2016 winner of the BBEX Business of the Year award Kevin Driedger of Fortress Windows and Doors receives his award from Randy Weekes. Nominations for this years' awards end on Monday, July 31 at 4:30 p.m.

Deadline for BBEX nominations fast approaching

The deadline for nominations for the Battlefords Business Excellence Awards (BBEX) is approaching fast. 

The 24th annual BBEX awards co-ordinated by the Chamber of Commerce will be presented in eight categories on Tuesday, October 3 at the annual gala and awards ceremony.

It's the final day of competition at the Gold Eagle Senior Provincial Golf Championships.

Dave Wilson of North Battleford continues to chase Ken Rodgers of Regina after day two of the Gold Eagle Senior Provincial Golf Championships being played at the North Battleford Golf and Country Club on Wednesday.

Thunder from Down Under plans to take Battlefords by storm

They have appeared on the Ellen Show, Live with Regis and Kelly and The View and now Australia’s Thunder from Down Under will bring its show to the Gold Eagle Casino on Friday, Aug. 4.

Heat warning issued for Battleford, Meadow Lake area until Friday

Stay out of the sun and drink plenty of fluids, as a heat warning has been issued by Environment Canada for our region.

The warning includes the Battlefords, Meadow Lake, Unity and even further north to Buffalo Narrows and La Loche.
