At just 15 years old, Adam Beckman is leading the AAA Stars in scoring with 12 points.

With the SJHL regular season now officially half over for the Battlefords North Stars, I thought it would be a good time to look back on the first 29 games and evaluate some of the smaller details.

Senior hockey weekend roundup

In senior hockey action over the weekend, the first home contest at the Civic Centre for Meota of the SPHL was a lively battle between the Combines and Edam’s Three Stars, with the Combines falling just short 5-4.

Crusaders busy in season opening tournament

The JP II Crusaders senior girls basketball team had no shortage of playing time in their season opening home tournament over the weekend, playing four games in two days.

They won two and lost two, beating LCBI and Meadow Lake while falling to Melfort and Unity.

Sharks wrap up weekend series with huge win

The Battlefords AAA Sharks responded well after Saturday's 6-3 loss to Swift Current, defeating them on Sunday 4-1 at Battleford Arena.

With the win, the Sharks are now 3-7-0-1 this season, but more importantly they have won three of their last four.

North Stars finish first half of season by doubling up Hounds

The North Stars followed up their poor third period performance on Wednesday with a better one on Friday in their 4-2 win over Notre Dame.

Better, but not great, according to head coach Nate Bedford.
