RCMP seek masked auto thieves

Battlefords RCMP are looking for two suspects after an attempted vehicle theft Friday morning.

Shortly before 6 a.m. yesterday morning RCMP responded to an attempted theft of a vehicle in the back alley of a residence on the 800 block of 109th St.

Due to the extreme cold temperatures, several area schools are closed, and many bus routes are not running.

Due to the extreme cold temperatures, several area schools are closed, and many bus routes are not running.

Several area schools are open, but buses are not running, which means parents will have to make their own arrangements to get their kids to school.

A North Battleford resident got more than a double-double without the coffee on Jan. 6.

RCMP responded to a vehicle damaged on the 700 block of 100 St. The parked vehicle had three tires slashed and sugar was poured into the gas tank.

Police are seeking the public's assistance in finding another missing person — the fifth in two days.

Battleford's RCMP are currently seeking help in locating Sharmaine Kay, 26 who was reported missing over the past weekend.
