North Battleford on the list for faster Internet

While the date hasn't been set yet, North Battleford will be joining other communities in the province on the list to receive new fibre optic technology so residents can enjoy faster Internet service.

Sasktel refers to the new technology as "infiNET."

BTEC celebrates 50 years

It took a lot of love and money to make Battlefords Trade and Education Centre Inc. (BTEC) the success it is today.

On Friday the community came together to celebrate the organization's 50th anniversary with an open house at its new facility in North Battleford.

North Battleford saving $50,000 in recycling contract

The City of North Battleford saved more than $50,000 after renewing its residential recycling collection program.

By signing up with Loraas Environmental Services, the firm offered a lower rate to North Battleford for its recycling collection.

Casino gives support to Festival of Trees

Thursday was a good day for the Battlefords Union Hospital Foundation when a local North Battleford business supporter once agan stepped up with a big donation.

Gold Eagle Casino donated $10,000 as a diamond sponsor for this year's BUH Foundation Festival of Trees fundraiser.
