Dekker Centre dealing with financial challenges

The Dekker Centre is expected to move out of the red and into the black in the near future after finishing 2017 with a $17,500 deficit, based on the general manager's latest report.

The City of North Battleford and Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE) Local 287 union committee representatives came together to sign a new collective agreement at Monday's council meeting.

Education Minister hears about successes, challenges during visit

Saskatchewan's Education Minister Gordon Wyant was in North Battleford Tuesday, meeting with Light of Christ Catholic School Division and visiting their elementary schools.

Wyant also visited Living Sky School Division's schools the previous week.

North Battleford City Hall approves land sale for new hotel development

North Battleford's City Hall heard some good news about plans for a new hotel development when council met Monday night.

The city sold about two acres of land for $1 million for the development of a Holiday Inn in the southeast area of North Battleford.
