The Rural Municipality of North Battleford is relocating next week to its new office and shop space.

The R.M.’s new premises will be located on Highway 4 N, near Forest Hall Rd.

Administrator Debbie Arsenault said the current R.M. office at 1462 100th St. will be closed Monday, May 28, and the new space will be open for business at 9 a.m. May 31.

“We kind of outgrew our current space, and the shop needed to be replaced ,” she said. “It’s been over 30 years since the R.M. owned its own building.”

The new, 3,300-square-foot office will house a new vault, more space for the growing staff, and a bigger boardroom. The shop is 6,000 square feet, and will have plenty of room for the R.M.’s heavy equipment, such as snow plows and graders.

“It’s supposed to do us for years to come, so there’s room for growth,” Arsenault said. “It’s a busy office, and it’s getting busier all the time.”

The RM serves over 800 residents and a number of commercial businesses.
