Saskatchewan Party set to choose new leader, premier
Who will be the next premier of Saskatchewan?
We will have an answer to that question tonight as Saskatchewan Party faithful’s ballots are tallied at the party’s convention in Saskatoon.
There are five hopefuls looking to replace Brad Wall at the helm of the party and province: Scott Moe, Gord Wyant, Ken Cheveldayoff, Alanna Koch and Tina Beaudry-Mellor.
First ballot results are expected to roll in around 6 p.m. A preferential ballot system is being used, meaning it could take several rounds for someone to secure 50 per cent-plus-one of the vote.
