Area residents will have an opportunity to meet Prime Minister Justin Trudeau this Thursday at a meet and greet at the Dekker Centre. Trudeau is coming to the area to show his support for the Liberal candidate in the upcoming federal bylection.

Trudeau will join Battlefords-Lloydminster Liberal candidate Larry Ingram for a meet and greet, in an event called Real Change at Work.

"Justin and Larry want to hear your ideas about how we can keep building a better future for families right here in Battlefords-Lloydminster," Ingram's Facebook posting reads. "Now more than ever, our community needs a strong voice in Ottawa – and Larry Ingram will never stop working hard to strengthen our community. That's why Justin Trudeau will be visiting Battlefords-Lloydminster for a meet and greet with Larry, and we hope that you and your family can join us."

The event will take place at 7 p.m., with seating available on a first come, first served basis.

Individuals planning to attend need to RSVP in advance at the link at:

The byelection is slated for Dec. 11.
