Fatal collision near St. Walburg kills Lloydminster man

Mounties from the St. Walburg detachment are still investigating a fatal three-vehicle crash which left one man dead on Oct. 21.

The crash occurred on Highway 3 around 7:30 p.m. The 57-year-old driver from Lloydminster died after his car collided with two pickup trucks. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The lone drivers of the trucks included a Loon Lake man, 79, and a Hillmond man, 85. Emergency personnel transported both men to hospital for non-life threatening injuries.

The investigation remains ongoing with the assistance of an RCMP collision reconstructionist.
