It was another quality start by North Battleford’s Andrew Albers.

He was critical in leading the Seattle Mariners right back into the thick of the American League Wild Card race after the Mariners 8-1 victory over the L.A. Angels at Safeco field on Saturday.

The 31-year-old lefthander (4-1) pitched six scoreless innings, striking out four while allowing only four hits in his fifth appearance since being traded to Seattle in August.

Albers is also unbeaten at Safeco Field as he is 3-0 while giving up just two runs in 17 innings of work while playing at home.
