RCMP seeking cattle rustlers

Battleford RCMP report that over the past few years, cattle have gone missing from the Red Pheasant and Mosquito First Nations pastures.
Const. Laura Cockrum of the Battleford’s detachment of the RCMP said investigators suspect the reason behind the cattle theft is to butcher the animals and sell the meat.
RCMP are also investigating an unrelated theft at the local canal. Police are searching for a suspect who stole an inflatable island from the canal that links Jackfish Lake to Murray Lake in Cochin.
The incident occurred sometime during the evening of July 8.
