Sunday brings funnel clouds to Sask.

May 15, 2017 | 8:48 AM

People around Saskatoon and central Saskatchewan were seeing funnel clouds through Sunday afternoon.

Environment Canada issued an advisory after funnel clouds were spotted north of Saskatoon around 2:15 p.m. Sunday.

While the clouds made for quite the visual, Environment Canada noted they were not particularly powerful.

However, the advisory was issued because the funnel clouds did have the potential to turn into weak landspout tornadoes.

The funnel cloud advisory was lifted later Sunday evening.
