Reports of stolen vehicles in the Battlefords

Two vehicles were reported stolen in the Battlefords area to the RCMP between the morning of Jan. 5 and the morning of Jan. 6.

At 6 a.m. on Thursday morning, a 2007 Chevrolet Silverado with licence plate 901 DYH was reported stolen from the 1700 block of 100 St. in the city.

At roughly 3 a.m. the following morning a pickup truck was reported stolen on 25 St. in the Town of Battleford. The vehicle was found a while later and the matter is still under investigation.

Battlefords RCMP responded to two other cases of theft, including a youth shoplifting from a business on Railway Ave. and a suspect fraudulently cashing another person’s cheque.

Also during the 24-hour period there were two calls of break and enters, both in North Battleford. A garage on the 900 block of 111 St. and a garage on Deans Cresent were broken in to.
