Smile cookie proceeds to benefit BUH Foundation

Anybody who buys a smile cookie from a local Tim Hortons this week will benefit the Battlefords Union Hospital Foundation.

“It’s going to go to enhancing health care in the BUH and Battlefords Region Home Care,” BUH Foundation executive director Claudette McGuire said. “It stays within your community.”

Smile cookies are available at Tim Hortons across Canada and proceeds go to a variety of local charities in each location.

Last year, McGuire said the foundation raised $10,500 for a new CT scanner. She said Tim Hortons is a great supporter of the hospital.

“We’re hoping everybody will go out and buy a cookie for themselves and for their work mates,” she said.
