SGI preparing for flood claims

SGI is preparing to handle claims from the floods in Estevan.

SGI spokesperson Kelley Brinkworth said that work is already underway.

“We have adjusters that are working already and we do plan to have more adjusters on site as well … just to try and help people and process claims as quickly as possible.”

Brinkworth said it was too early to know about how much damage has been done because many people have still likely not filed claims.

Brinkworth said that SGI is expecting to get many auto claims as well as some sewer back up claims from home owners.

SGI is not yet sure how long it will take to process a claim as it will depend on how many claims they get.

Brinkworth said that people looking to make a claim can make one over the phone.

People looking to make a claim Monday to Friday can call 1-800-667-9773.

People looking to make claims on the weekend or during non business hours can call 1-800-647-6448.
