Family of murdered infant wants youth accused tried as an adult
Getting justice for six-week-old Nikosis Jace has been at the forefront for the grieving family.
While the case involving a 16-year-old girl accused of second-degree murder has yet to go to trial, the boy’s grandfather is concerned that, should there be a conviction, the punishment won’t fit the crime.
“I think they should be more stricter. She should be tried as an adult. That’s what I say,” Jeffery Longman said, after a vigil at the family’s home Tuesday.
“We’re not going to stop until justice is served for Nokosis. I’m going to show up at every court case she has,” he said.
