Remains of missing P.A. man found, foul play involved

RCMP has identified the human remains found near the town of Rosthern last Friday are that of a person reported missing in April.

Through an autopsy performed today RCMP identified the remains were those of Gilbert McCallum, 21, from Prince Albert.

Police confirmed McCallum’s death was the result of foul play but are not releasing his cause of death at this time.

Before his remains were found, McCallum was the subject of a Prince Albert Police Service missing persons investigation. The local was declared missing on April 20, 2016.
