North Battleford gets colourful

May 28, 2016 | 4:00 PM

A grey sky and the threat of rain didn’t stop hundreds of people from running until they were red. They ran in the second Live in Colour 5K Run at Centennial Park Saturday, May 28.

“It’s a fantastic run,” run organizer Dr. Victoria Lamb Drover organizer said. “Every kilometer they get coloured powder thrown on them so you come out looking like a rainbow. We have wonderful people like the fire fighters throwing water on them so the powder just sticks.”

She emphasized it was less of a race and more of fun time for people of all ages and anyone was more than welcome to participate.

Funds raised go directly to the North West College Scholarship Fund, which Drover said provides $80,000 worth of scholarships a year.
