UPDATE: Senior charged with second degree murder

The elderly man accused of killing a 56-year-old Waterhen Lake First Nation man left Meadow Lake Provincial Court in tears Monday, Feb. 29.

Gordon Joseph Fiddler, 62, appeared in the court room at 3:30 p.m. with a confused look on his face.

Fiddler is charged with the second degree murder of Tommy Fiddler on Feb. 25.

His case has been adjourned to April 11 to allow Legal Aid the opportunity to get disclosure on the case.

At the next appearance, it will be discussed if the case should continue in Cree, Fiddlers native language.
