This past week, the Battlefords North Stars came back from a 3-0 deficit against the top team in the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League thanks to two goals from Brad Girard.

Battlefords North Stars rookie forward Matthias Urbanski missed training camp, and first saw action in a pre-season game on Sept. 6 against Humboldt.

The liquidation of the U.K. based company in charge of constructing and maintaining the Saskatchewan Hospital in North Battleford (SHNB) won’t affect the completion of the facility or any jobs there, according to Saskbuilds.

Maidstone RCMP are investigating an incident where shots were fired from a vehicle at an unoccupied business on Highway 17 approximately 5 kilometres south of Lloydminster.

The shooting occurred on Thursday night just before midnight.
