For 30 years the chief and council of the Hatchet Lake Denesuline Nation have been trying to build an all-season road to their community.

Yesterday’s federal budget tabled by Finance Minister Bill Morneau is being hailed by some and panned as vague by others as the Liberals begin preparing for the next general election in 2019.

Premier Scott Moe fulfilled one of the many campaign promises today when his government reinstated the Provincial Sales Tax (PST) exemption for agriculture, life and health insurance premiums, effective immediately.
