Ness Creek Music Festival up for provincial award

The Ness Creek Music Festival has been named as one of three finalists for the Sask Tourism Marquee Event of the Year award.
 
The award is given to an event that generates economic and cultural benefits for Saskatchewan, and attracts national and/or international spectators.

Home grown talent on display at the Dekker Center

Some of the Battlefords most talented musicians took the stage of the Dekker Centre as they presented “Home...” Saturday, Mar. 6 for the first time.

“We had all kinds of music,” co-director Dianne Gryba said. “We had dancing, rap, hip hop to opera and everything in between.”

Ice sculpting a hit at Winter-Tainment

Live ice sculpting was one of Winter-Tainment’s headlining events this year.

Fire and Ice Creations, an ice sculpting company based out of Saskatoon, headed by Peter Fogarty, created ice sculptures live in Rotary Plaza on Wednesday afternoon, Feb. 17.
