Neilburg team tops in SaskPoly robot contest

A group of budding young engineers from the northwest have been awarded for their robotic creation at the Saskatchewan Polytechnic myRobotRumble SUMObot Challenge 2016 in Saskatoon.

Craig Hewko and Hunter LeDrew from Neilburg placed third in the competition with their robot “Monte”.

Saskatoon man sentenced on child pornography charges

A Saskatoon man once known as a high-achieving student with ambitions of becoming a doctor was sentenced Friday on child pornography charges.

Justin Gerard Gryba, 27, pleaded guilty in March to two counts of making child pornography and two counts of possessing child pornography.

Sentence appeal denied for man who hit and killed a Sask. conservation officer

A man who pled guilty to driving drunk when he hit and killed a Saskatchewan conservation officer will not get a shorter sentence.

Blaine Taypotat was given a 9 ½ year jail sentence for killing a conservation officer on Highway 11 near Saskatoon in May 2013.
