While the Battlefords North Stars have a do-or-die playoff game tonight at the Civic Centre, one of their alumni will also be playing to keep his season alive.

When Konnor Snyder puts on his hockey jersey this season, the 15-year-old hopes he won’t just be playing for the crest on the front of the jersey but for a crest on the left arm as well.

In perhaps the most utterly ridiculous game of the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League season so far, the Battlefords North Stars topped the Estevan Bruins 9-6 to force a game 5 this Thursday, as the win means they now trail 3-1 in the best-of-7 semifinal series.

Only twice in the last 40 years has a team in the National Hockey League come back from a 3-0 series deficit to win.

Community rallying for patches honouring local hockey player

A member of the Battlefords Barons hockey team is getting support from the community after the Battlefords Minor Hockey Association ruled the team's members cannot wear special patches on their jerseys to honour a former teammate.
