Big third period gives North Stars 2-0 series lead over Kindersley

It looked like the series between the Battlefords North Stars and the Kindersley Klippers would be tied after 40 minutes in game two.

The North Stars found themselves shorthanded for four of the first six minutes of the game, allowing the Klippers to generate quality scoring chances.

The Battleford North Stars hadn't played a game in 13 days when the puck dropped in game one of their playoff series against the Kindersley Klippers, but you wouldn't have known it the way they came flying out of the gate.

North Battleford hosts Midweek Seniors Curling Tournament

North Battleford hosts Saskatchewan Seniors Fitness Association (SSFA) 55+ Provincial curling tournament this week at the Northland Power Curling Centre.

Eleven teams from across the province will be competing to advance to the national competition in Brampton, Ontario this summer.

Brothers help take North Battleford Vikings to Hoopla provincial tournament

Sibling rivalry will take on a new meaning at Hoopla, Saskatchewan’s provincial basketball tournament. The Dutton brothers from North Battleford Comprehensive High School will take on the Dewar brothers, Saskatoon’s Marion M. Graham Collegiate best players.
