Voices from the Void is a film by Sarah  Vermette about some of the common issues faced by people with hearing-loss.

“I grew up hard-of-hearing and lost the rest of my hearing in my late-20s. I felt some disempowered to some degree throughout most of my youth and it took me a long time to find my voice and feel safe in using it. I like to use creativity to create platforms for people who typically don’t have one, so they can share their story. With this film I wanted people to know how common hearing-loss really is, so we can begin re-shaping our perspective from one of negativity to a more supportive and understanding view.”
