Holiday Season Fun at PA National Park

Dec 22, 2017 | 9:46 AM

Greetings from Prince Albert National Park!

The perfect New Year’s resolution? Spending more time with family and friends at Prince Albert National Park! Escape the hustle and bustle of the holidays, and plan a getaway to Waskesiu this season. Please feel free to share with colleagues, tourism partners, and the public.

Christmas Tree Harvest, on until December 24

  • Come cut your tree on Christmas Eve! There is still time to cut your own Christmas tree in the Waskesiu Community Fuel Break (CFB) and help protect the community from wildfires. Get in the spirit of the season and pick out the perfect Christmas tree for your family in Saskatchewan’s boreal forest.

Contact the Prince Albert National Park Visitor Centre (306) 663-4522 or panp.info@pc.gc.ca for more information and to obtain you free permit!

Waskesiu Christmas Cheer

  • Storytelling season is upon us! Join Carol Crowe and Shannon Kelly for stories and crafts on December 30, 12:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. at The Hawood Inn in Waskesiu. You can create your very own wishing wand or spin drum to take home. See attached poster for details.
  • The Hawood Inn in Waskesiu will be celebrating beginning December 27 with live music in the afternoon and evenings, a special holiday menu, and camp kitchen lunches for their guests if the weather permits.
  • Plus! Cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, geocaching, campfires, and more!
