Treaty Six Community History Showcase and Traditional Powwow

Treaty Six Education Council hosts a “Community History Showcase” Tuesday, May 17 at Battlefords Ag Society, Exhibition Grounds starting at 8 a.m. and closing at 3:45 p.m.

Lunch will be provided for Elders and Presenters. There is no canteen on site May 17.

Visit the tipi village to learn the history of First Nations around the city of North Battleford.  Concurrent group presentations will be given on a rotating basis.  

Wednesday, May 18 is the Traditional Powwow, hosted by Sweetgrass School with dancers and drummers from member Nation schools and surrounding areas.

Showcase Tipi’s remain up for one-on-one presentations.

A handgame tournament.exhibition will take place concurrently.

Canteen on site May 18.
