Broncos remembered as SJHL playoffs resume

Hockey can be a healing game. That was clear Saturday night.

Though healing may have started for Kaelan Holt last week, it was amplified when his team stopped by the collision site of the Humboldt Broncos bus Friday evening en route to play in Nipawin.

Ryan Meili new leader of Saskatchewan NDP

Ryan Meili is the new leader of the Saskatchewan New Democratic Party.

He won with 55 per cent of the vote over rival Regina Rosemont MLA Trent Wotherspoon. Meili has served as the MLA for Saskatoon Meewasin since his victory in a January 2017 byelection.

Either Regina Rosemont MLA Trent Wotherspoon or Saskatoon Meewasin MLA Ryan Meili will be the new leader of the Saskatchewan NDP.

Saskatchewan NDP set to pick to new leader today

The Saskatchewan New Democrats will have a new leader by days end; Ryan Meili or Trent Wotherspoon.

Party faithful have cast their votes, and are gathering today in Regina where they will find out who will take over the reigns of the official opposition.

Scott Moe, Gord Wyant, Ken Cheveldayoff, Alanna Koch and Tina Beaudry-Mellor are looking to replace Brad Wall as leader of the Saskatchewan Party.
