UPDATE: RCMP searching for multiple suspects in 7-11 robbery

UPDATE: battlefordsNOW has learned that more than one suspect robbed the 7-11 at 1752 100th St. this morning. According to a source, the suspects smashed the glass counter with a baseball bat containing scratch-and-wins, grabbed a cash till and took off on foot.

Chili cook-off heats up Wintertainment

It’s time to dig out your favourite recipe and take part in the second Annual Chili Cook-off during Wintertainment next week in North Battleford.

The event will highlight the Thursday, Feb. 23 activity lineup at the Nations west Field House from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Like the veterans it was designed to serve, the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #9 in Battleford continues to thrive and remains as strong presence as it was when it was first chartered over 91 years ago.
