Police searching for two suspects after armed robbery

Two suspects remain at large following an early morning home invasion on March 10 in North Battleford.

Battleford RCMP confirmed two masked men entered a residence on the 1300 block of 106 St. around 1:30 a.m. last Thursday, March 9.

Deadline to vote in Hockeyville competition approaches

Community members in the town of Wilkie are getting out to vote in the Kraft Hockeyville competition today, March 13.

Voting began yesterday at 7 a.m. and organizer Cathy Heiman said many people showed up at the various voting locations to show their support.

The next 24 hours will be both exciting and anxious for the community of Wilkie as groups and individuals both young and old will be voting vigorously to get the community of Wilkie into the top two of Kraft Hockeyville.

Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Battlefords (BBBS) want you to come out and have a ball; bowling ball that is.

After a brief hiatus, the non-profit organization is once again hosting Bowl for Kids Sake on Sunday, March 26 at Gutters Bowling and Game Centre.

Local students learn more about residential schools from mock museum

To better understand residential schools, local teachers created a mock museum at John Paul II featuring primary sources to give students a better understanding of the stories and history of the time period.

Wilkie needs support to become Kraft Hockeyville 2017

Saturday March 4 is an evening many of the 1,200 residents of Wilkie will never forget.

Hundreds of people crammed into the Saskcan Community Centre with fingers crossed and high hopes that their community would make it as one of the finalists in the annual Kraft Hockeyville contest.
