North Stars bounce back against Millionaires

It was the rebound win the team needed on Wednesday night, as the North Stars rolled into Melville and took down the Millionaires 4-1, just one night after losing big to Yorkton.

With the victory, the North Stars improve to 3-1-0 on the season.

North Stars pounded by Terriers in first loss of season

The season may be just three games old, but the North Stars are about to face their first real test of the season after falling handily to the Yorkton Terriers 5-1 on Tuesday.

AAA Stars begin pre-season with road win

Two of their top players were missing and the goaltending situation is still murky, but regardless, the Battlefords AAA Stars won their first pre-season game on Saturday, 5-3 over the Beardy’s Blackhawks.

It wasn’t pretty, but it worked; the Battlefords North Stars won their season opener against the Kindersley Klippers 3-2.

North Stars expect to score by committee in 2016-17

Last year’s Battlefords North Stars won three quarters of their games over the course of a 58-game season, something many fans would consider superb.

They had three of the league’s top-10 scorers on their team, Igor Leonenko, Layne Young, and Coby Downs, another exceptional feat.
