North Stars pounded by Terriers in first loss of season

The season may be just three games old, but the North Stars are about to face their first real test of the season after falling handily to the Yorkton Terriers 5-1 on Tuesday.

AAA Stars begin pre-season with road win

Two of their top players were missing and the goaltending situation is still murky, but regardless, the Battlefords AAA Stars won their first pre-season game on Saturday, 5-3 over the Beardy’s Blackhawks.

North Stars narrowly win season opener

It wasn’t pretty, but it worked; the Battlefords North Stars won their season opener against the Kindersley Klippers 3-2.

Layne Young’s two goals lifted the home team over the Klippers at the Civic Centre on Friday, Sept. 16.

North Stars expect to score by committee in 2016-17

Last year’s Battlefords North Stars won three quarters of their games over the course of a 58-game season, something many fans would consider superb.

They had three of the league’s top-10 scorers on their team, Igor Leonenko, Layne Young, and Coby Downs, another exceptional feat.

North Stars unveil roster with kick-off breakfast

The North Stars have officially introduced their roster.

The team held their kick-off breakfast at the Civic Centre at 7 a.m. today, Sept. 14, to give the roughly 100 attending family, friends and fans a rundown of who they’ll see on the ice.

Crusaders improve to 2-0
