Below-normal runoff expected this spring

It’s too early to say for sure, but the Water Security Agency (WSA) says western Saskatchewan can expect below normal runoff this spring.

In fact, the prediction applies to most of the province. The only exception is in the east-central region, where there was extra water in the fall.

They were sold back in September, but Tim Hortons’ smile cookies had a lot of people smiling Friday, Feb. 5, in Battleford.

Community builder honoured at banquet

The 2015 Battlefords Citizen of the Year sees a lot of potential in the young woman seated next to him at Friday's banquet. 

Kiley Elmer, the Junior Citizen of the Year, is likewise inspired by her counterpart Floyd Anderson.
