Judge rules for Saskatchewan government over tribal council in care dispute

The struggle for power between the Saskatchewan government and the Saskatoon Tribal Council over who has responsibility for children in care was at least temporarily settled Thursday with the government coming out the victor.

17 cars leave the tracks in train derailment near Clavet

A train derailment sent more than a dozen cars off the tracks east of Saskatoon Wednesday evening.

Cleanup crews were at the scene near the community of Clavet for hours.

Canadian Pacific Railway confirmed 17 cars in a westbound freight left the tracks near the area.
