Roughriders Francis adjusting to Canada and its football

It all happened very quickly for Roughrider safety Kevin Francis. 

In the span of about a week, he found out he would be considered a Canadian in theCFL, declared for the supplemental draft, worked out with Chris Jones and was selected by the Riders in the draft.

No longer a rookie, Riders’ Knox Jr. ready for a new role

Jeff Knox Jr. strutted his stuff during his first year with the Roughriders, but in the start of his second, he’s had to take it a little slower.

Knox Jr. missed most of training camp with a nagging injury, which he tested out during Monday’s practice.

Even though he arrived in Edmonton wearing the Grey Cup ring he won with the Eskimos, Roughriders head coach Chris Jones knows better than to expect an open arm greeting from fans Saturday afternoon.

Roughriders’ Chris Jones chastises ‘stupid’ play, praises Spencer Moore

As the second pre-season game and second round of cuts creep up on the Roughriders, practice got a little physical Tuesday morning. 

Head coach Chris Jones likes intensity in practice, but he wasn’t a fan of what he was seeing.
