Roughriders' Eric Norwood on the mend from ACL injury

Eric Norwood is more than ready for his return to the football field – his knee on the other hand, isn’t quite there.

Norwood tested out his knee for the first time since tearing his ACL in the western semi-final last year while playing for Hamilton.

Darian Durant among 5-10 players fined in week 7 for uniform violations

Another day, another fine for the Saskatchewan Roughriders.

After practice on Tuesday, Darian Durant mentioned that sometimes the team feels like it’s “us against the world” when it comes all the fines coming down against the Riders, adding he, too, has been fined by the league.

A Bo Levi Mitchell tweet with an "eyes" emoji is creating quite a stir in the CFL.

Mitchell sent the tweet Tuesday reacting to a flurry of Roughrider practice roster signings. It read “I bet none of the people they signed needed flight.”

Quinn van Gylswyk may go from the six-game injury list straight into his first CFL start.

Regular Roughrider kicker Tyler Crapigna was injured during in practice a week ago, leading the Riders to bring in Johnny Mark for one game. Mark was released on Monday.

Roughriders special teams could use a little “more oomph”

It’s no surprise to Craig Dickenson that special teams needs a little “more oomph”.

The Roughriders special teams coordinator is happy with the kick game, but said the team has been tinkering and working hard to improve the return game, which is fledgling.

Defence looking past 41 point loss; Verdict still out on Durant

The defence allowed 41 points against the Montreal Alouettes Friday night, while the offence mustered just a field goal.
