Town of Battleford councillor reaching milestone

Don't tell Gordon Yarde it's time to settle down.

The Town of Battleford councillor is reaching a new milestone in his life, after just turning 79 years old. But this high-spirited man still has lots of work on his agenda.

"I'm 79, but I'm not stopping," he said.

N.B. year-end numbers favourable despite challenging year

The City of North Battleford presented its 2016 financial figures at council's meeting Monday, showing it managed to come through the year in good-standing despite the challenges.

Local spill clean up concluded, monitoring continues

Husky Energy has completed its local area clean-up work following the July 21, 2016, oil spill that affected the North Battleford area, but it is continuing its monitoring efforts.

Car accident in North Battleford leads to rollover

RCMP and first responders attended the scene of a rollover in North Battleford late Tuesday afternoon.

The collision occurred at the intersection at Highway 4 near the Don Ross Centre at roughly 4:30 p.m. Traffic was rerouted and police cordoned off the road following the accident.
