Citizens on Patrol volunteers help keep community safe

Driving around the streets of the Battlefords late into the evening, the local Battlefords Citizens on Patrol volunteers quietly keep watch, doing their part to help the community stay safe from crime.

Projects moving ahead for town despite tight budget

The Town of Battleford has plans for a number of large projects for the year outlined in the 2017 general and operating budget passed at council Monday night, despite having a tight budget, with a small increase in taxes on average.

Town helping with RCMP Musical Ride coming to Battleford

The Town of Battleford will be offering its support to help with preparations for the RCMP Musical Ride coming to the local area in June when the event is on tour this summer.

The Musical Ride will perform at the Fort Battleford National Historic Site on June 3 and 4.

Kinsmen Band hall primed for major renovation

The North Battleford City Kinsmen Band Building is getting primed for $300,000 in major renovations starting in May.

The facility, at 1801-104 Street, south of the Civic Centre, has been at the current location since 1980 and is in need of repairs.
