Sakewew school hosts Gender, Sexuality Alliance support barbecue, Terry Fox run

Sakewew High School students showed a combined effort to support the Terry Fox Foundation this year.

Roughly 25 people including staff and teachers joined in a run and walk for the cause at 11 a.m. on Friday.

The City of North Battleford has issued a boil water advisory for the North Battleford Comprehensive High School and North West College following a water main break Tuesday on Diefenbaker Drive.

Town looking for more volunteer firefighters

The Town of Battleford is looking for a few good men and women to join its volunteer fire department.

"It's a great way to give back to your community," Mayor Ames Leslie said following Monday's meeting.

Meota Terry Fox Run appreciates small showing

A small but dedicated group of supporters laced up for Meota's annual Terry Fox Run.

Roughly 20 people attended the event slightly less than last year's count of 35. Karl Caslor who organized the event with his wife Irene was pleased with the support, nonetheless.
