North Battleford city council didn't raise any objections last night to the Saskatchewan Liquor and Gaming Authority (SLGA) granting permits for future retail sales of cannabis in the municipality. when the issue came up at Monday's meeting.

Living Sky School Division has announced they will be meeting with community partners in response to the news that two high school students have tragically died by suicide recently. 

Clayton Favel, who appeared in court Monday via CCTV, is facing a charge of attempted murder, plus numerous other charges, in relation to a Jan. 5 shooting incident in North Battleford. His case has been remanded to Feb. 5.

Case held over for man facing attempted murder charge in N.B.

The case involving a man facing a charge of attempted murder has been remanded until Feb. 5 when the accused is scheduled to enter a plea. 

Clayton Favel, 19, who is in custody, appeared in North Battleford provincial court via CCTV from Saskatoon, Monday.

Saskatchewan Party leadership race hopeful Ken Cheveldayoff took his campaign to the Battlefords Thursday, going door-to-door to encourage party members who haven't voted yet to vote for him.

Memorial Round Dance event returns to Battlefords

Battlefords area residents will have an opportunity to join in a traditional round dance coming to North Battleford next month. 

This marks the Third Memorial Round Dance in honour of Allen Sapp and Walking with Our Sisters.
