Medstead joins Battlefords and Meadow Lake and issues fire ban

Dry and windy conditions have forced yet another regional municipality to issue a temporary fire ban in the area.
The RM of Medstead Fire Chief Gerald Boyd said outdoor grass fires, burning barrels, fire pits and fireworks are prohibited until further notice.
Medstead joins the City of North Battleford and the RM of Battleford which issued a cautionary fire ban on Thursday. On Friday, the RM and City of Meadow Lake and Flying Dust First Nation also issued fire bans which include areas bordering the Northern Provincial Forest and the Meadow Lake Provincial Park.
