Warm weather a blessing for NB Golf course

While last week there was some uncertainty as to when the North Battleford Golf and Country Club would open, that can now be put to rest.

Dana Johnson, director of golf at the North Battleford Golf and Country Club, said the course will open this Saturday.

“If it dries up fast enough for power carts… we won’t know until later this week, but right now we will open up for play,” Johnson said. 

That means golfers may have to walk, depending on how the weather cooperates. Another option is the driving range, which will also be open Saturday. Johnson added there is also a spring promotion on right now.

The course usually opens for play around April 15. Last year the course was open earlier than normal for golfers on April 12, but bad weather in May hurt business.
