Associates responsible for nomination for Gold Eagle Lodge

Mar 20, 2018 | 12:00 PM

Ask Gold Eagle Lodge General Manager Warren Berg why the local hotel was nominated for a Service Excellence Award from Saskatchewan Tourism and he will not hesitate to give you an answer.

“The secret to our success is our associates,” said Berg told battlefordsNOW. “From the ground up, the associates are invested on the service side of the property, and we are invested in them.”

The nomination for the Gold Eagle Lodge is their second in the category over the last three years.

“We are very proud of this nomination for Service Excellence,” Berg added. “It is something we pride ourselves on, and it’s a daily ritual for our associates.”

The Gold Eagle Lodge will be up against the Black Fox Farm & Distillery in Saskatoon and Ghostown Blues Bed & Breakfast in Maple Creek for the Service Excellence Award, one of the 12 categories which acknowledge quality in marketing, service, business practices and human resource development.

The Gold Eagle Lodge is one of two nominations from the Battlefords area. The Pinty’s Grand Slam of Curling event, held in North Battleford in January, 2017, garnered a nomination for Marquee Event of the Year. The finalists and award recipients will be honoured at the 29th annual Saskatchewan Tourism Awards of Excellence Gala in Regina.
