Witchekan Lake man killed in single-vehicle collision

A 46-year-old man is dead following a single-vehicle collision on a Witchekan Lake grid road.

RCMP said the fatal crash occurred March 15. Paramedics pronounced the male driver, who was from Witchekan Lake First Nation, deceased at the scene.

Officers from the Spiritwood RCMP detachment and the police force’s collision reconstruction unit are investigating the cause of the collision. Part of the road was briefly closed during the investigation, but it has since reopened to traffic.
