A seven-point weekend to close out the regular season helped clinched the scoring title for Battlefords AAA Stars Forward Adam Beckman.

That wasn’t the only award he won this year in the Saskatchewan Midget AAA Hockey League; the Saskatoon native was also named the league’s top forward and a first-team all-star. He finished the year with 44 goals and 34 assists in 41 games, and notched 34 points with 20 goals and 14 assists in his final 15 games of the regular season.

While Beckman was named the league’s top forward, the league MVP award went to Regina Pat Canadians Forward Jaydon Dureau, who was second in league scoring with 74 points. The Notre Dame Hounds took home a number of awards including top defenceman, which went to Quinn Schmiemann, top goaltender, which went to Riley Kohonick, and top coach, which went to bench boss Devan Praught.

Prince Albert Mintos forward Josh Pillar was named the league’s top rookie, while goalie MVP went to Tisdale’s Roddy Ross.

The Chuck Herriot Award, presented for sportsmanship, dedication and commitment to hockey, went to Adam Herold of the Regina Pat Canadians.

Beckman was named a first-team all-star alongside Dureau, Notre Dame Hounds forward Luke Mylymok, Herold, Schmiemann, and Ross.

The second-team all-star team consisted of Hounds Forward Nolan Renwick, Swift Current Legionnaires Owen Ozar, Pat Canadians Forward Matthew Culling, Prince Albert Mintos Defenceman Kade McMillan, Moose Jaw Generals Defenceman Nolan Hones, and Hounds Goalie Riley Kohonick.

The award for official of the year went to Tarrington Wyonzek.
