A man accused of a shooting in North Battleford will return to court next week.

Timothy Leask, 45, appeared at North Battleford provincial court via video link Thursday. The case was adjourned until March 7, to allow the Crown time to review the file.

Leask’s case is expected to go to trial, but a date hasn’t been set. His legal counsel said Leask intends to enter not guilty pleas to all the charges against him, which include aggravated assault, assault with a weapon, pointing a firearm, discharging a firearm at a person with intent to wound, uttering threats, and possession of a prohibited weapon.

The RCMP said a man was shot in the leg with a shotgun Jan. 15 at a residence on 104th St. in North Battleford. The victim was sent to hopsital for treatment.
